Humidity control is an important factor in successful fermentation. Evaporation from microtiter plates, or when cultivating in flasks for long periods (e.g. cell cultures), can be significantly reduced with humidification.
To reduce evaporation from shake flasks or microtiter plates a water bath is placed inside the incubator. This water bath is fitted with an automatic water supply.
Our newly developed technology provides precise humidity control. Accurate, rear-mounted, controlled humidity is an important factor when working with microtiter plates or when cultivating in a flask for long periods (e.g. cell cultures). With humidification evaporation can be markedly reduced. This system was developed especially for customers working with humidity and temperatures of more than 10°C above ambient, e.g. cell culture cultivations or microtiter plate cultivations.
Only with a downward control force on humidity, can achieve true control to set point. Small variations over long periods of time lead to incomparable datasets and irreproducible results. If only 'humidity supplementation' is desired, a simple water pan is a very robust and effective solution compared to 'injection' type devices and we do offer a pan for this application. Digital PID control, incorporating a microprocessor, ensures exact regulation of the humidity. In Radobio incubator shakers humidification is by means of an electrically heated evaporation basin with automatic water refill. The condensing water is also returned to the basin.
The relative humidity is measured by a capacitive sensor.
Shaker with humidity control offers door heating, condensation is avoided by heating the door frames and windows.
The humidity control option is available for CS and IS incubator shakers. A simple retrofitting of existing incubator shakers is possible.
